Frozen at the NMC meadow

On Wednesday 6th August, we opened our fully accessible meadow area to the public for our very first Open Air Cinema event, showing the Disney hit Frozen on a huge film screen.

270 guests from Winsford and beyond joined us at the Centre during the afternoon for some fun before the film, including face painting, glitter tattoos, balloon modelling, a merchandise stall with all things Frozen, and a photo booth to have pictures taken with characters from the film.

Popcorn, sweets, burgers and hot dogs were also on sale for guests to get their film snacks before settling down to watch the film on picnic blankets and chairs. After what had been a wet start to the afternoon, the sun shone for the duration of the film and the atmosphere was truly spectacular with all generations singing along to the hit 'Let it Go'.

We also held a raffle with some fantastic family friendly prizes including tickets to the Welsh Mountain Zoo and Laser Quest. A group of 6 volunteers from Barclays at Gadbrook Park came along to help sell raffle tickets and sweets, of which the proceeds will be matched by Barclays.

We have raised a brilliant £3165 from our Open Air Cinema and would like to thank everyone for attending, as well as all the volunteers and vendors who made it such a memorable occasion: Joe's Fine Food, Mitzy Moo Face Painting, Chester Events Photography and Event Equipment Hire for providing the screen.
Keep an eye on our website, facebook and twitter for information on future film events here at the NMC.
