NMC receives Department for Transport donation

The Neuromuscular Centre has been been awarded an accessible vehicle from the Department of Transport’s national community transport scheme which invited voluntary sector organisations to apply for vehicles for community use.

NMC operates a small transport fleet made up of accessible vehicles which enable members of its community to independently access NMC's specialist services. Some of the vehicles in the current fleet had done thousands of miles and were becoming increasingly unreliable.

MP for Eddisbury, Antoinette Sandbach visited NMC to see NMC's accessible vehicles in action. Commenting on the donation Antoinette said, "I'm delighted that the Department for Transport funded buses have been delivered to NMC. They will make such a huge difference to those with neuromuscular conditions accessing the expertise, support and opportunities provided by NMC."
