This is
often called "Flowtron". It is the use of inflatable zip-on
garments, shaped like boots, which are attached to an electronic pump
to provide alternate pressure and release for the legs. The result is
an improvement in circulation and a feeling of "lightness".
The physiotherapy team has a number of portable machines available for
loans to patients, so that they can benefit from the treatment on a
regular basis by doing it at home themselves.
