The NMC is an inspirational Cheshire based charity. This new role seeks to create exciting fundraising opportunities through launching and delivering a series of new themed appeals to help develop more and better services.

Job Description

Responsible to - Head of Fundraising

Location - The Neuromuscular Centre, Woodford Lane West, Winsford, Cheshire, CW7 4EH

Key responsibilities include;

To deliver targeted and timely appeals to specific supporter groups to achieve financial income targets

Develop and deliver a plan to pursue a specific income target from businesses (primarily SME's) and schools/colleges very much linking in with the appeals approach

Working as an effective team player to jointly deliver the fundraising goals through creative and well thought out communications methods

Working with volunteers and community groups to support the NMC's work

Influence and persuade a wide range of internal and external contacts including suppliers, sponsors and supporters to ensure the best possible outcome for the NMC

Growing the existing lottery, leading community appeals, manage street collections, and a shared responsibility for ensuring the website supports fundraising aims

Contribute to the development of the fundraising strategy

Contribute to the overall objectives, plans and values of the organisation

Attend relevant networking/training and professional events as required

Maintain the fundraising administration systems

Person Specification

The right candidate will need to have a combination of the following knowledge, experience and competencies;

Some general structured fundraising experience working in a charity setting

Strong administration background capable of managing a complex workload

Some account management/project management experience would be advantageous

Be confident and have experience of developing relationships with supporters

Experience of IT systems including Microsoft applications, databases, mail merges and researching using the internet

Have the flair and desire to develop and grow the role

Excellent communication skills; verbal, presentational and written

Thriving in a targeted environment

Experience of managing a budget would be an advantage

Be a team player willing to get involved with all our fundraising activity

Experience of working in a customer focused environment would be an advantage

Posses an abundance of initiative, lateral thought and self motivation

Ability to plan, develop and achieve results from new ideas

Be able to plan and manage time effectively

Able to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends

Car owner with full driving licence
