Team NMC
will be tackling the 3 peaks Challenge in 24hrs in August; the highest
mountains in Scotland, England and Wales.
We are
organising this challenge ourselves and we aim to raise over our £3000
target for the NMC.
Each of these climbs has their own challenges, Ben Nevis is a ten mile
round trip, Scafell Pike needs to be climbed in the dark and Snowdon
is, quite possibly, the hardest physical climb. The scheduled date is
15th and 16th of August 2009.
Rough
guide Itinerary
Friday
14th August: 8pm - Arrive in Fort William at B&B
Saturday
15th August : 5pm - Begin Ascent of Ben Nevis (aim to complete within
5 hrs)
10pm - Depart and head to Cumbria
Sunday
16th August : 3.30am - Begin ascent of Scafell Pike (aim to complete
within 4 hrs)
8am - Depart and head to Snowdon
12.30pm
- Arrive and begin Ascent of Snowdon (aim to complete for 4 hrs)
4.30pm
- A cold beer???
We are hoping to secure business and company sponsorships as well as
individual and we are also hoping to secure a vehicle to transport us
comfortably from mountain to mountain.
