Training
NMC
Training offers training opportunities in digital graphic design and
basic IT skills. We deliver training in our training suite equipped
with a mix of Apple Macs and Laptop PC's.

Generally
our trainees attend for a half or full day each week.
We aim to provide transport between home and the Centre for our Trainees.
Full care and support services are provided for all students at the
Centre.
Taster sessions for any of the courses are always offered to see whether
it really meets your needs.
We
also provide distance learning opportunities for graphic design students
who are not able to travel to the NMC and wish to study from home.
We offer
the following accredited courses in partnership with a local F.E. College.

Level 1 certificate in Graphic Design
This is
a recognised qualification in Graphic Design. It will usually take a
student about six months to complete. It will enable students to learn
and then demonstrate:
NCFE
Level 2 certificate in Graphic Design
This qualification
is ideal for candidates who already have graphic design skills and want
to extend their knowledge and skills. This could be, for example, as
a way of accessing further study within the graphic design field or
to make more informed career choices.
The qualification
aims to extend candidates' existing graphic design skills and knowledge
of the graphic design process and principles.
Students studying for this qualification learn on Apple Macs - the preferred
tool in the Graphic Design industry.
Once
students gain the qualification then there are options:
1. Continue
studying at NMC (or elsewhere) to gain an even higher level qualification.
2. Gain employment in a Graphic Design company.
3. Gain employment in NMC's own NMC Design+Print - our very own in house
commercial graphic design and print company.
4. Try freelance Designing - maybe working from home.
