Connect Up

For details about Connect Up, please email Elly at connectup@nmcentre.com
or call 01606 860911.
We also have a closed NMC Facebook Group called 'NMC Online with Connect Up'.
NeuroMuscular Centre is not building or just a place for physiotherapy treatment... it is a community. Connect Up represents the best of this: connection, support and friendship.
We have a wide range of activities and specialist groups available to all our NMC community, including anyone with a neuromuscular condition, their family, friends and carers.
At NMC there is something for everyone. If you would like to meet new people, learn a new skill, join in with arts and crafts, share your experiences or perhaps join us for a cup of tea, cake and a chat then you will be very welcome.
We are always open to trying new ideas. Please get in touch if you would like any further information and join in with the amazing community spirit that is so rich at NMC.
Please click here for a timetable of our regular activities.
NMC Connect Up
Through Connect Up, the NMC community has enjoyed a varied programme of events including craft workshops, ukulele lessons, fishing days and pub nights (on zoom) at the NMC 'Staying Inn’. NMC hired a marquee which proved invaluable and enabled many of our community to attend events that would not have been possible without it.
NMC Saturday Club launched in August 2021 and is an opportunity for anyone from our NMC community, family and friends to visit the Centre outside of our usual opening hours. We have hosted various including a Mobility Roadshow and Fun Day, an Exercise Day led by the NMC Therapies team, an Afternoon Tea, an Art Exhibition Open Day with a clay workshop and 3D printing.
What's On: May - July
In addition to our regular activities, we have a number of other activities taking place (either on weekdays or our Saturday Club).

Read and Connect Book Club
Read and Connect is an exciting way of people connecting through books.
We meet on the first Friday of each month.
-
Our next meeting will be Friday, 2nd June at 11:30am at NMC and via zoom. Refreshments will be provided, and all are welcome.
This month's library book is:
-
'I Let You Go' by Clare Mackintosh.
Library copies are available from NMC.
The link for our Read and Connect facebook group is:

If you have a library card there is the option to 'borrow' an e-book from your local library for 2-3 weeks. All library services are arranging this slightly differently.
Please feel free to join us. If you can't make it to the meeting but would still like to be involved you can always e-mail any thoughts to share with the group.
