Meditation in the Meadow
Are you ready for another Meditation in the Meadow?
As part of the Summer Wellbeing Programme, Kay will be teaming up with our Physiotherapy Department!
On Tuesday 14th June Paul will deliver a session on Eating for Energy at 11am.
This will be followed by a meditation session at 12pm with Kay, where we will be exploring Mindful eating.
Both sessions will take place in the Marquee.
What is mindful eating?
Mindful eating is an approach to food that focuses on being fully present while you’re eating.
It also increases awareness of your thoughts, senses and feelings during and after you eat.
Allowing yourself to become aware of the positive and nurturing opportunities that are available through food selection and preparation, by respecting your own inner wisdom.
Using all your senses to choose to eat food that is both satisfying to you and nourishing to your body
Acknowledging responses to food without judgement (likes, dislikes, neutral)
Becoming aware of physical hunger, and satiety cues to guide your decisions to begin and end eating
