To find out more please contact Kay Briggs by calling her on 01606 860911 or email her using our Contact Form.

NMC Training provides an innovative and accessible range of courses and ways to study to suit those with neuromuscular conditions. All those with a neuromuscular condition are eligible to enrol and study at NMC, whatever their age.

Our tutors provide year-round support and guidance to students with neuromuscular conditions. Each student studies at their own pace and in a way to suit their particular needs and circumstances. Nothing is a barrier to learning.

We have a home study option for the graphic design courses and taster sessions are available for any of our training courses to see whether it really meets your needs.

Graphic Design

We offer 3 Graphic Design courses which are delivered by Kay Briggs.

  • Level 1: Introduction to professional graphic design software packages. This course is equivalent to a GCSE level of study and introduces the student to Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.

  • Level 2: Developing new graphic design skills and honing existing ones. This course builds on the Level 1skills by further developing the student's knowledge of Photoshop and Illustrator and introducing Adobe Indesign.

  • Level 3: Working as a Professional Designer. The course is equivalent to working at A-Level standard and will provide you with a professional portfolio to take forward in life.

Bushcraft

Every summer NMC holds a range of outdoor activities as part of Bushcraft season.

Think outdoor cooking, orienteering, fire-making, and wildlife exploring.

Bushcraft has also joined forces with Cheshire Falconry and we've had gorgeous owls at the Centre.

Mindfulness

NMC Mindfulness is delivered by Kay who started practicing mindfulness several years ago through the NeuroMuscular Centre. Having found it a very powerful tool to help support her own mental wellbeing, she decided to share some of the things she has learnt.

Kay has delivered live Mindfulness sessions (both on zoom and at NMC) and has a Soundcloud channel with a number of short recorded mindfulness meditations for you to practice in your own time. These meditations are updated regularly.

We also have an NMC Mindfulness facebook group
