Challenge Event Thank You

Huge thanks from all at NMC to Andy Rydings, who recently completed the Manchester Marathon and raised a phenomenal £1000 for us! Andy's brother Ben receives physio and exercise at NMC.

Here's what Andy says about the experience:

"It was an amazing day. I didn’t appreciate the rare appearance from the sun, but the atmosphere and support all the way round were unbelievable. From the crowd shouting my name and cheering everyone on, it honestly kept me going when I was flagging. Especially those with hose pipes and ice cubes!!

There were a few rough moments — blisters, sun cream in my contact lenses — but what got me through was thinking about Ben. Everything he deals with day-to-day puts things into perspective, and there was no way I wasn’t making it over that line.

I’m proud (and a bit broken) but buzzing to have done it for Ben and you guys."
