Housing, Homes and Happiness Day
You are invited to join us on Saturday 22nd July from 10.00am - 3.30pm for our Housing, Homes and Happiness day.
This event will bring together members of condition specific support groups from across the UK as well as the NMC community. The aim is to socialise, learn from each other and hear from experts on home adaptations, accessing grants, home ownership and more.
It will be a combination of presentations, group discussions and networking, with plenty of opportunities to chat and share experiences in an informal setting.
We welcome anyone from the NMC community who would like to find out more on the topics of independent living, adaptations and housing. We'd also love to hear from people who have been through these processes and would like to offer advice and support to others.
Arrival time from 9.30 for registration, tea and coffee
10am - Event start and will include:-
Laura Fisher, Head of Housing, Resettlement and Independent Living for Shropshire as keynote speaker .
My Safe Home HOLD –pre-recorded 15 min video presentation from David Abbey.
Sean Myerscough from ForHousing (Home Improvement Agency Manager) to be a roving expert.
Panel discussion to finish
We anticipate the event will finish at 3.30
There'll also be plenty of food and drink available, including a hot drinks van with an array of treats, a BBQ and an ice cream van!
